With over a decade of experience at Zetes in developing secure identity solutions for governments, Geert has built deep expertise in public trust frameworks, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. His work spans electronic signatures, qualified certificates, and trust services, with a strong emphasis on the eIDAS regulation and its practical application.
Geert currently leads a team focused on delivering mobile identity solutions for government clients, with particular attention to integration with the European Digital Identity Wallet initiative. His team supports the implementation of wallet-based identity systems that enable the issuance of verifiable credentials—such as national Person Identification Data (PID) and qualified attestations—and facilitate electronic signing through the wallet.
These solutions are designed to meet the requirements of eIDAS 2.0 and align with international standards, including ISO and W3C, ensuring interoperability across borders. Zetes’ product approach prioritizes usability, compliance, and scalability, delivering end-to-end services that empower citizens to securely access public and private services within and beyond the EU.
