Sigita Struberga is a researcher and educator specializing in international relations and security. Her scholarly work focuses particularly on resilience, Baltic security, strategic communications, and the dynamics of Russian-speaking communities in the Baltic region.
Currently, Dr. Struberga serves as a faculty member at the University of Latvia. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she chairs the board of the non-governmental organization Women for Security and holds the position of Secretary General at the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation (LATO). In her role at LATO, she oversees complex international relations and security initiatives, as well as the organization’s educational and research programs.
Among LATO’s key activities, Dr. Struberga coordinates The Rīga Conference, the largest security forum in the Nordic region, which serves as a prominent platform for high-level discussions on international security and defence.
