Tor Alvik has been involved in the development of public sector e-ID solutions since 2005. He has been responsible for the development, management, and operation of the Norwegian ID-gateway and the MinID solution.
Today, Alvik contributes to the implementation of the new eIDAS regulation and the introduction of digital wallets in Norway, a responsibility of the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency.
He is also actively engaged internationally, both through Nordic-Baltic cooperation on e-ID and by representing Norway in the work on eIDAS within the European Union. Alvik served as coordinator for NOBID LSP, a large-scale pilot testing the payment use case in the EU Digital Wallet.
