From the Baltics to the Nordics: Building Alliances for Global Semiconductor Competitiveness

The global chip industry encompasses a wide value chain and it plays a crucial role not only in driving technological innovation and societal progress but also in fostering economic growth. The EU’s Chip Act mandates the establishment of a centre of excellence for chips in each Member State, with the primary goal of ensuring the EU’s sovereignty and self-sufficiency in the semiconductor market. These national chip competence centres serve as regional innovation and cooperation hubs, supporting businesses – particularly SMEs and startups – by providing access to expertise, services, infrastructure, training, and opportunities to collaborate with both industry and academia.

The event focuses on strengthening cooperation among the Baltic and Nordic Chip Competence Centres, while contributing to the development of Europe’s future chip ecosystem, and creating a lasting impact on technological innovation, economic growth, and strategic resilience.

At the end of the program, there will be a networking opportunity where attendees can connect, share experiences, and establish valuable professional relationships.
