Techritory Forum returns to Riga on 21-22 October 2026, bringing together over 600 speakers and guests – industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and innovators.

This year’s main theme is “Security and Prosperity Through Digitalization and Connectivity”. The two-day forum will explore topics such as:
- European data centres at scale,
- EU digital tech resilience and sovereignty,
- Defence and security technologies,
- Satellite connectivity,
- Digital Networks Act,
- And more.
Key topics in focus
One of the central conversations will examine what European technological sovereignty is and what that means in practice. The focus will be on how Europe can reduce strategic dependencies across critical technologies, supply chains, cloud, AI, connectivity, and telecommunications.
Regulation will be another major focus. Our experts will examine the Digital Networks Act and whether Europe can move towards a genuinely single telecoms market, close its connectivity investment gap, and find the right balance between competitiveness and regulatory oversight.
Europe’s infrastructure challenges will be explored from two perspectives: data centres and satellite connectivity.
Dedicated sessions on European data centres will address the growing tension between AI-driven infrastructure demand and energy consumption that comes with it. Experts will discuss what makes infrastructure genuinely sovereign and what could constrain European data-centre expansion over the next five years.
Satellite connectivity will be another topic focused on Europe’s infrastructure challenges. Is Europe developing sufficient independent satellite capabilities or risks becoming dependent on external providers? The conversation will also cover commercially viable satellite use cases, regulation, and the capabilities Europe needs to remain competitive and secure.
Finally, Techritory will address the topic of defence technologies and the industry’s persistent challenge: Europe develops superb defence technologies, but how can it deploy them at scale?
Apart from the main topics, the Forum will also touch upon such topics as:
- AI adoption,
- 5G and 6G development,
- Europe’s digital partnerships abroad,

The Forum is organised by the Electronic Communications Office of Latvia, with LMT, DELSKA, Nordic Council of Ministers, and the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development of Latvia as strategic partners.
