Independent Defence Strategic Advisor, NATO DIANA defence mentor

Eva Sula is a defence and digital capability strategist specialising in the adoption and integration of emerging technologies across defence and security organisations. Her work focuses on turning innovation into operational capability by connecting technology, policy, procurement, interoperability, and operational reality.

With a background spanning cybersecurity, cloud transformation, government digitalisation, and defence innovation, she has served as Chief Information Security Officer for the Estonian Ministry of Education and the Estonian government cloud, and previously worked with Microsoft and Cisco across the Baltic region on secure cloud adoption and digital modernisation.

Today, her focus includes AI, autonomy, cyber defence, hybrid threats, C4ISR, digital resilience, and operational interoperability in contested environments. She actively contributes to European and NATO-aligned defence innovation ecosystems, supporting collaboration between defence organisations, industry, startups, and end users.

Eva is a regular speaker, moderator, mentor, and advisor on defence transformation, digital sovereignty, and the future of European security, with particular expertise in the Baltic Sea and JEF security environment.
