Gisli Ragnar Gudmundsson leads Iceland’s participation in New Nordics AI, which connects AI initiatives across the Nordic-Baltic region to accelerate adoption and strengthen competitiveness. He works at Almannarómur, Iceland’s AI and language technology centre. Previously, Gísli led KPMG Iceland’s AI consultancy, helping organizations turn AI opportunities into practical initiatives.
He also worked on technology and innovation policy in the Icelandic government, where he led the development of Iceland’s first national AI action plan. His work brings together experience in business, public policy and regional collaboration.
