Rihards Kaletovs is a technology and digital infrastructure executive with more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications, internet services, and IT systems architecture. As Chief Technology Officer of Delska, he oversees the company’s technical development, drawing on extensive expertise in IT architecture, systems administration and the infrastructure supporting modern data centers.
With a background in mathematics, Rihards began his career in 1995 with one of Riga’s first internet service providers, gaining early experience in the rapidly developing internet and telecommunications sector. He then spent 5 years in leadership and senior roles at Lattelecom before joining DEAC in 2013, where he specialized in IT systems architecture, administration, pre-sales, and procurement. He became CTO of DEAC in 2019 and continued in the role of a group’s CTO following several companies’ merger and rebranding into Delska.
Under his guidance, Delska built the regionally unique EU North Riga LV DC1 data center – a fully sustainable 10 MW facility, built for AI workloads. It’s currently the greenest and most advanced data center in the region, with its demand exceeding supply. Rihards is already working on the upcoming data center expansion plans and projects in Latvia and Lithuania.
