Susanne Ding heads the digital infrastructure department in the Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and State Modernization. She is primarily responsible for the principles of national and European telecommunications policy. This includes the further development of the federal gigabit funding programmes and the legal framework for telecommunication, as well as the promotion of new network technologies and spectrum policy.
Previously, she was responsible for European and international digital infrastructure issues within Ministry. She worked for several years at the European Commission in the fields of European media, culture, and digital policy, as well as at the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
