Must-attend co-creation events at Techritory 2026

October 01, 2026

Techritory is an annual forum in Riga where technology leaders, entrepreneurs, experts, and policymakers meet to discuss digitalization and connectivity in Europe. In 2026, Techritory takes place on October 21–22 at the ATTA Centre in Riga. Alongside the stage sessions, the forum hosts co-creation events: workshops, roundtables, and matchmaking sessions where participants work on real challenges together.

This year’s forum theme is “Security and Prosperity Through Digitalization and Connectivity.” Registration is free and open, so save your spot now!

Here are the co-creation events you won’t want to miss:

Horizon Europe Advanced Digital Technologies Brokerage Event

Great EU-funded projects start with the right team, and this event helps you find yours. Get a preview of the upcoming Cluster 4 digital calls, hear what’s coming from Brussels, and learn from a project that has already won funding.

Evaluators will be there to answer your questions, and a matchmaking session gives you time to meet partners and shape a consortium. Topics range from cloud infrastructure and sustainable AI to robotics and photonics.

Who should attend:

  • Research organizations and academia
  • SMEs and large enterprises
  • Policymakers and other interested parties

When: October 21, 14:00–18:00 (EEST)

Digital Identity Workshop

Europe is moving the European Digital Identity Wallet from policy to real-world use, with implementation deadlines set for 2026.

This invitation-only roundtable brings together 15–20 representatives of European governments and technology vendors. It builds on last year’s discussion of who builds, owns, and pays for digital identity, and this time it focuses on practice. Participants will discuss the rollout plan and its obstacles, such as cross-border trust, and how to certify wallets as secure and interoperable without slowing deployment.

Who should attend:

  • Government representatives from Europe
  • Technology vendors in the digital identity and e-wallet space

When: October 21, 16:00–18:00 (EEST)

Registration: Invitation-only. Fill out this form.

Powering AI, Heating Cities: Data Centers as Energy Infrastructure – Nordic-Baltic Roundtable

Europe needs significantly more data center capacity to support AI and cloud services. But as demand grows, data centers could become more than major energy consumers. With the right infrastructure, excess heat from data centers can supply homes and public buildings, reduce demand for other energy sources, and become a valuable part of local energy systems.

Organized by Delska, one of the biggest data center operators in the Baltic region, this Nordic-Baltic roundtable will focus on what it takes to make heat reuse work in practice. Participants will discuss when projects are technically and commercially viable, who should build, own and finance heat pumps, pipelines and connections, how recovered heat should be priced, and what role governments, municipalities and EU funding can play. The goal is to identify a practical Nordic-Baltic model that could also inform projects elsewhere in Europe.

Who should attend:

  • Data center developers and operators
  • District-heating companies, energy utilities and grid stakeholders
  • National ministries, municipalities and EU institutions
  • Investors and public funding institutions
  • Sustainability and energy-policy experts

When: October 21, 11:00–12:30 (EEST)

Registration: In-person participation only. Apply to participate.

Consumer Protection Roundtable: Taking Stock Ahead of the Digital Fairness Act

Europe’s consumer rules are already among the strongest in the world, so what will the Digital Fairness Act add? With the proposal expected in Q4 2026, this off-the-record roundtable lets governments, industry groups, and tech companies compare notes before it’s published.

The talks will link the Act to existing rules such as the Digital Services Act, and cover protecting minors, age verification, and the role of social media. The goal is to find common ground between the public and private sectors while keeping protection strong and rules simple.

Who should attend:

  • Government and regulatory representatives from the Nordic-Baltic region and other EU countries
  • Tech companies operating in B2C environments in Europe
  • Anyone interested in the EU’s consumer protection agenda

When: October 22, 10:30–12:00 (EEST)

Registration: In-person participation only. Fill out this form.

Spectrum Awareness and Control in Defence and Critical Infrastructure

Jamming, interference, crowded airwaves: the radio spectrum around the Baltic Sea is under growing pressure, and defence, emergency services and critical infrastructure all depend on it.

This session asks how to get ahead of the problem. With constant monitoring and closer regional cooperation, organizations can catch disruptions early, trace their source and respond together. Speakers will also look at what it takes to stay in control of the spectrum, from switching frequencies quickly to countering jamming where the law allows.

Who should attend:

  • Spectrum regulators and national administrations
  • Defence and public-safety representatives
  • Critical infrastructure operators
  • Electronic communications providers
  • Spectrum-monitoring and defence technology companies

When: October 22, 10:30–12:00 (EEST)

Registration: In-person participation only. Fill out this form.

6G Trials for Resilient Europe: From SNS Pilots to FP10 Pre-deployment

6G research is nearing its final stretch, and the standardization work is getting under way. Early trials already hint at what’s coming: AI-driven services and networks that can also sense their surroundings.

This event asks what that means for Europe’s resilience. You’ll see results from SNS (Smart Networks and Services) pilot projects and a private operator or vendor trial. You’ll also hear how trials could grow into large-scale pre-deployment under FP10 (2028–2034), and get an estimate of the GDP and jobs 6G could add after 2030. A panel discussion closes the session.

Who should attend:

  • National and EU parliamentarians
  • National agencies, regulators and public policy officers
  • Economists and business analysts
  • Researchers, vendors and mobile operators

When: October 21, 14:00–17:00 (EEST)

Registration: Fill out this form.
